Guam
Trip - Submarine TRIP
- Since
Audrey and I had seen Guam by air, land, and on the sea we said to ourselves,
"Why not under the sea?" We saw an advertisement
for a submarine tour and decided to give it a try.
- The
trip first began on a boat which took us out to the submarine. The
sub was stationed out in one of Guam's shipping bays.
- Here's
Audrey on the boat as it pulled up alongside the submarine.
- We
started by going down about 75 feet to a peanut shaped reef which was
about the length of a football field. It was really amazing how
much life was below the surface and how big some of the fish
were. This is one of the big sushi...I mean fish that swam around
the sub.
- After
we took a tour of the reef we went up to 50 feet and divers came into
the water. They had food to feed the fish. Some of the food
was like bait but most of it was something like Green Giant peas and
carrots.
- Here's
another one of the divers feeding the fish. Watch out behind you!!!!
- You
would think that these look like normal small aquarium fish but compare
the size of the divers hand to the size of the fish he is feeding! Most
of the fish were very docile and only interested in getting a bite to
eat.
- This
is looking toward the front of the submarine. You can see a diver
out the front porthole waving goodbye.
- Gee
Audrey, what do we do next???
